TLi Course Starter Kit 2.0

The TLi Course Starter Kit, created 2021, has been updated to version 2.0 (2023). The kit is meant to reduce time spent on the technological development of a course and increase the time available for what really matters – developing quality content and laying the groundwork for an inclusive learning environment. This starter kit is design for use and adaptation in asynchronous or synchronous online courses, hybrid (in-person and online), or in-person.

QLT Alignment

The kit is aligned with Quality Learning and Teaching (QLT) CSU Rubric. This is one of two rubrics approved by the CSU Online Course Service (OCS) office for defining criteria for well-designed quality digital learning environments. If you are CSUCI faculty or staff and interested in participating in trainings specific to online course design using QLT, please visit the OCS Courses. These asynchronous courses are offered Fall, Spring, and Summer and right now are free to take.

Please note! CSUCI faculty and staff should only take QLT courses! We do not use Quality Matters (QM)

Accessible and Inclusive Design

To support your efforts to develop accessible digital content, please reference the Accessibility and Inclusive Design (A.I.D.) Guides.
