Accessing Your Badgr Account & Sharing Your Badges

The following page will guide you through how to access your Badgr Account or Backpack and how to share your badges online.

The Badgr Backpack is where you can store and fully interact with any of the Open Badges you’ve earned. Badgr awarded badges will be automatically added to your backpack. 

This also includes OneHE badges which will also sync with Badgr Backpack as long as you’ve used the same CSUCI email in CI Learn/Canvas to sign up for OneHe.

Accessing Your Badgr Account

There are 2 ways to access your Badgr account, one-time access or creating a login

1. Go to badgr.com
2. Click Sign Up Free/Create an Account in the top right of the window.
3. Select United States as your Badgr Region and click Save and Continue.
4. Next, enter your CSUCI email address (myci.csuci.edu for students and csuci.edu for faculty/staff) and click Continue.
5. A verfication code will be sent to your email, enter the verification code and click Continue.
6. Once your account is created, click on Backpack to see any badges you have earned.
   

Badges Earned in OneHE

Badges earned through OneHE can also be added to your Badgr Backpack.

1. Login to onehe.org
2. Mouse over Courses & Resources located in the menu at the top of the page
3. From the drop-down menu select Badges and Achievements
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page until you reach the section titled, OneHE and Badgr Backpack
5. You will be asked to input your email and password. The text entry fields may appear to be auto-filled. Delete all pre-filled text. Type-in your CSUCI Email and password you used to login to Badgr.
6. When prompted to Country, select United States.
7. Select Verify
8. Expect approximately 24 to 48 hours after syncing for your OneHE Badges to appear in your Badgr backpack. After this initial setup, future badges earned from OneHE will appear immediately in your Backpack.

Sharing Your Badges Online

Once you have earned a badge you have the option to share it via a link, on social media (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest), or as HTML.

How to Share A Badge

1. From within your account (Badgr Backpack), click on the badge you’d like to share
2. Once opened, click the Share button in the upper left corner of the window
3. A Share Badge window should appear with three tabs: Link, Social, and HTML
4. If you’d like to share it socially, you will likely be prompted to sign in to your account.
