How to Add a CI User to Your Course

The Add to Course Request Form was created so instructors could request adding primarily other CI faculty and staff to their courses. If a student is being added to a course for credit they need to enroll via CI Records.
Note: A separate submission is required per course. You can include multiple people in the same request for the same course as long as they will have the same type of access.

Most requests are processed within 24 hours unless submitted over the weekend or on a holiday.
The requestor(s) will receive a confirmation email once the request has been completed.

Submitting the Form

You will need the following information

  1. Date Requested
  2. Requestor’s First and Last Name
  3. Requestor’s CI Email
  4. Person(s) to be added
Be sure to include name(s) and CI email(s)
  5. Permission requested* (selected from dropdown)
What should this person be able to do/see in your course?
  6. Semester (selected from dropdown)
  7. Course (e.g., BIOL-201 Sec 002)
Be sure to include course abbreviation and section number.

*The Course Observation permission option will prompt the requestor for the date the observer should be removed from the course
*The Needs Grading Access permission option will prompt the requestor to explain why this level of access is required.
